The first Post -Part two: Spicy Garlic fries

After spending a year in Belgium I can honestly say I have quite an addiction to fries and the prospect of having to give them up because of the amount of salt poured on them was not one I relished so its fitting that I would start off my meal by figure out a way to make fries salt free yet still tasty and delicious. These hand cut fries were baked in the oven limiting their fat and seasoned generously with garlic paprika and pepper to give them a salt free kick.

Spicy Garlic Fries!

For these you will need, yellow potatoes (I used two but you may want more depending on how many you are feeding ), two fresh cloves of garlic, paprika, pepper and olive oil.
Pre- heat oven to 400
Slice the potatoes into thick fries (or thinner if you prefer)

Peel one clove of garlic and squish the edge of a knife to release the juices. Rub the garlic over each fry and then dice it at the other clove to be added fry mixture.

Place fries in a bowl and sprinkle with olive oil, add paprika, pepper and diced garlic to taste and mix until covered.
Spread on cookie sheet and bake until outsides are brownish and crispy.
Enjoy one of my personal favorites.
From my kitchen to yours
Helen
